2 ways to add Health Alerts to DSC
There are 2 ways to get Health Alerts into Data Services center. This article will attempt to detail the pros and cons of each. It is important to note that while there are 2 ways to get Health Alerts into Health Accounting, using both simultaneously could cause a duplication of data. It is best to choose one method.
Adding the Health Alerts directly into Health Accounting
Pro:
- This option will allow you to operate in a single system. You will not have to worry about setting up an Ed Fi synch to Infinite Campus. You will be able to print a report by homeroom of Health Alerts
Con:
- Health Accounting is currently a Nurse specific application. Teachers do not have access to the system for security reasons. If you would like teachers to have digital access to a list of the student Health Alert in the student information system, this would not be the option for you.
